Get Claude Owl up and running in minutes
Choose the version that matches your Mac's processor
💡 Not sure which version? Click → About This Mac → look for "Chip" (Apple M1/M2/M3 = ARM64, Intel = x64)
Simple drag-and-drop installation
Open the downloaded .dmg file
It should be in your Downloads folder
Drag Claude Owl to Applications
A window will appear with the app icon and Applications folder
Wait for the copy to complete
This usually takes a few seconds
Eject the disk image
Right-click the disk image icon and select "Eject"
First-time setup and security approval
Open Applications folder
Press ⌘ + Shift + A in Finder
Double-click Claude Owl
The app will start launching
When you first open Claude Owl, macOS may show this warning:
"Claude Owl cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified."
This is normal for unsigned apps. Here's how to open it:

🚨 "App is damaged" error?
If you see "Claude Owl is damaged and can't be opened" or "You should move it to the Trash", this is a macOS security restriction on unsigned apps downloaded from the internet.
✅ Verified Fix: Run this Terminal command after dragging Claude Owl to Applications:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Claude Owl.app"
This removes the download quarantine flag. After running this command, Claude Owl will launch normally.
📝 Why does this happen? Claude Owl is currently distributed without Apple code signing (which costs $99/year). macOS automatically quarantines downloaded unsigned apps and prevents them from launching. Code signing will be added in a future version.
